DrFloras VS Ever Cleanse

Colon cleansing: It's not exactly dinnertime conversation material, but you must have heard about it, if not from those late night infomercials that come on after Without a Trace at 3 in the morning, then through a friend who's tried it, and has either been very satisfied (happy colon cleansers probably used Doctor Floras), or very disappointed.

Sometimes you do have to sift through the rough to get to the diamond, and that was the case in my experiences with colon cleanses. Originally, I had tried Ever Cleanse. It was getting so much hype, and quite honestly I was looking for a little boost towards my weight loss goals. I ordered it, having been quite impressed with the testimonials on the site from people claiming they'd lost all this weight just from taking it.

Let's just say that my experience wth Ever Cleanse was completely horrible, from beginning to end. I ordered, just to try it out, but frankly it didn't deliver the way all those so called testimonials said it would. (Plus it's sooo overpriced!) It made me constipated and gave me these excruciating pains in my tummy, and I wouldn't even want to get up to go to work. I drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fibrous foods anyway, so it couldn't have been due to being dehydrated or anything like that.

I called and tried to cancel my subscription recurring order, but then a month later there was a charge on my debit for Ever Cleanse! Geez, these people wouldn't even refund me my money, and they take more of it when I already cancelled? It took multiple calls to them, the BBB and the Attorney General of NY, but I did eventually get my $100 back.

Dr Floras Colon CleanseA few months later, I was still looking for that colon cleanse that would work, and a buddy I met at my spinning class at the gym told me that she uses DrFloras to detox. She set me straight about the weight loss, too! She told me that yes, while going through detox or using a colon cleanse could totally help me to lose weight, going through a program would be for my health, not solely to lose weight. Basically anyone doing a colon cleanse just to lose weight was going to be disappointed, unless they'd been eating junk all along anyway, but that it really could help you lose that extra gunk build up (mucoid plaque) in the body. Depending on how healthy or unhealthy your diet had been up to the colon cleanse, the amount of mucoid plaque, and hence, the weight that comes off with it, would vary. And the turning point of her little lesson: she said she had never had any side effects like being unable to go to the bathroom or stomach pains with DrFloras.

I did some of my own research of course, checking out user reviews and listening to the audio testimonials on DrFloras.com. I took my own 15 day challenge with DrFloras colon cleanse, and I'm happy to report that I did not experience any adverse side effects at all. I did pass some recognizable mucoid plaque (and lost about 5 pounds, woohoo!). The mucoid plaque is so super gross that I didn't want to touch it even with gloves on, but here's a photo of what it looks like:
